The Cross Trainer - New Balance - 327 Primary Pack - Dec 20 - Banner Header 2

Staring down the winds of the future

We were born to stare down the winds of the future because tomorrow’s streetwear is ours to innovate. It is not about how our threads look or feel that matters to us as much as the soul of where they come from that lends us their steez.

By sourcing from local communities and partnering with our generation’s designers, we create inimitable style that’s on fleek, flawless and fashionable. We wear these threads as a symbol of who we are, what we stand for and how we’re changing our world.

Because when you know, you know.

Just in time for last minute Christmas wish lists – New Balance has added three shoes to its 327 collection. The Primary Pack offers styles in white with (you guessed it) red, blue or yellow suede overlays on the mudguard, heel counter and the backing of the ‘N’ logo.

The 327 range has been introduced throughout 2020 with several colour combinations and collaborations. It is a modern interpretation of the brand’s ’70s heritage:

  • An oversized ‘N’ logo on the lateral side is inspired by the retro 320 model – the first New Balance shoe to feature the “N” logo that was released in 1976 and garnered a respectable following amongst elite athletes.
  • A gum sole and heel wrap that was inspired by the 355 trail-runner designed for road running as well as trail or cross-country work in 1979.

By merging the style of the ’70s with modern materials, the New Balance 327 Primary Pack is a must-have for anyone looking for a retro-runner style in a modern silhouette. It has perforated leather underlays, suede vamp fangs, white midsoles and black waffle rubber outsoles to top off the design. Grey suede coves the eyelets while crisp white laces clean up the look.

Partnering with Spotify and The Fader, New Balance created ‘The Fearless Ones’ series that highlights artists who are challenging the status quo and are fearlessly true to themselves. Coming off his latest album, ‘Hey, I’m Here For You’, American singer/songwriter, Harry Hudson talks about how he defies trends while defining himself.

In the same way, New Balance has been unequivocally independent since its inception. “My style is pretty unconventional which is why I love the New Balance 327 collection so much,” said Harry Hudson. “The simple primary colours compliment whatever random wardrobe vibe I’m feeling that day.”
